Nycom/umdnj!!

I REAAAAAAALLLYYY wanna got o either NYCOM or UMDNJ!! I just feel like the programs best suit me, its close to home, etc. etc. I was complete in early Jan! Does anyone who goes there currently or just got in, think this is normal that I havent heard back from them?? I recently got an additional two letters of recc - I'm wondering if I shoudl send them in...but I don't want to look tooo persuasive either (I'm already complete at both schools)! What else can you do?? Go visit???

Someone just give me some hope..........=(

If you completed them in early jan. I would think that it's still kind of soon to hear back from them and not unusual that you haven't heard anything. If I were you I probably would send in my two new letters of rec. if you think they're really good, but that's just my opinion. I don't think it would make you look too anything to send them

i just took a tour at UMDNJ and it was awesome. very beautiful school. the entering class sizes are so small, but thats good in lots of ways. good luck, umdnj has a later deadline so you never know how long they are going to interview! i too want to go to umdnj or nycom. good luck

i am a 1st year at nycom and will tell you the best feature of this school. They stream every lecture so you can watch every lecture and not go to class. You have to show up for anatomy and OMM labs, but the rest of the time you can stay home or close to home. If you want to go to class you can.

I was all gung ho about class. Now, I wake up at 8, get coffee and head to my local library where I stream the lectures. That is a great advantage of NYCOm.

Although, if you are a Jersey residnet, I wouldn't hesitate to go there. It's in state tuition. Can't beat that.

I shadowed a 1st year student there and let me tell you the small classes are the best in the world. During the biochemistry lecture, the professor had stopped and answered about 1/2 dozen questions to prepare for the exam.

I sooooo want to go to this school 😍

I was wondering if any of you guys know how many out-of-state applicants these schools accept. Particularly from those states outside of the northeastern region of the country. Thanks!

Even if you're not a Jersey resident, they'll make you one before the school year starts. EVERYONE ends up being in-state!

I just received an interview invite to NYCOM today and scheduled an interview for 15 March. I was complete around the December time frame, so hopefully you'll have something exciting in your mailbox too!

Good luck! Im sure you will like the school. The interview was very laid back so enjoy it
