Quick question : does anyone know when the deadline for applying to this program is? (im a H.S senior)

also for anyone who has gotten accepted, what was your H.S GPA and SAT/ACT score ? I know they list the minimal requirement but i was just wondering where you have to be on a realistic playing field to get in this program?

Thanks.

i'd just like to tip my hat to you for being so on top of things so early in your career.

i wish i were more like you in HS instead of having nothing but air in my skull 🙂

back when i went there over 4 years ago, I had a 90ish avg and 1300+ on my SATs; not many ECs. I also had a 29 or 30 on my ACTs.

hmm do you think i can get in if i have a B+ avg? i have like a mid 1200(/1600) score and im getting my ACT score in a few days, also just took the SAT's this past saturday (which i have a feeling will be 1300+), its similar to yours but im assuming its harder to get into every year with more people applying?

also @Eudjinn, thanks man.

edit: forgot, is it rolling admissions? i seriously cannot find a deadline date

call them!

if you are stuck at any step of your application, you call them up! They try to help you in most cases.

Slightly OT but I thought the SAT's were out of 2500 now? When I took it I got a 1700 so I don't think it's out of 1600 😵.

its out of 2400

but alot of colleges only look @ the first 2 sections combined (math and critical reading) which are 800 points a piece.

Your best bet would be to make an appointment and meet with Dr. Hummel. He is the advisor for the life science majors including the BS/DO program. Go to him with your stats and file, show him your interested in attending and what you can do to increase your chances. He'll be honest with you and tell you what you can do. You can call his secretary Ms. Harris to set something up.

Also SUNY Old Westbury has a BS/DO program with NYCOM now too you can apply there as well. I belileve SUNY New Paltz and 1 more SUNY (somewhere up north) have the BS/DO program too. Touro college also has a 7 year BS/DO program with TouroCOM in the city.

i just googled Suny Old Westbury's BS/DO program and it looks like its harder to get in because they require a 92 average vs's NYIT's 90

i think i will apply to SUNY new paltz but do you know the requirements for that? as well as Tuoro?

also can anyone answer the initial question of when the deadline for applying to the NYIT BS/DO Program is?
