i put None in all the fields and 0 in the credit hours

I emailed the peeps over at NYMC and they said:

The Office of Admissions is currently experiencing a temporary problem
with our online secondary application.

In order to bypass the graduate school information page, you must enter
"not applicable" under all graduate school required fields and you must
enter "0" in credits earned and "0" for course number.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

You guys figured it out before they even told us 🙂 HTH

Hey guys,

Where are you listing your optional recommenders? On page 4 of 5 with the graduate recs? I'm confused 🙁

Yeah I am really confused by this as well. I have a committee letter from my undergrad school, but it includes letters from professors, employers, etc. do i need to add them separately?

I didn't have trouble with the grad school letter stuff. I just left it blank. It worked fine.

From the NYMC website:

http://www.nymc.edu/admit/medical/info/proced.asp

"Undergraduate Letters

* Whenever possible, a Premedical Advisory Committee letter of evaluation is preferred.
* If your college does not have a Premedical Committee, letters of evaluation from three undergraduate professors (including at least two from science faculty) are required. These must come from faculty who have taught you in class or have supervised independent research for which you have received credit.
* One letter of evaluation must be from the department in which you majored, whether science or nonscience.
* Employment references, personal references, and references from volunteer work are not a substitute for academic references. They can, however, be submitted as supplements to the required references. "

Yeah, I read all of the stuff they have in the instructions, but where exactly do you list the additional recommendations? I would say in the "optional 1" and "optional 2" slots, but i'm not sure. Guess I'll try that...

👍

Bleh!!! Now the site's going nutzo!

Server Error in '/MedAdmission' Application.

I wish these guys would get the bugs worked out of their application before putting it up online.

I just tried again and it works fine. Did anyone else not write anything but their school on the entire secondary??

I guess they just want the 100 bucks 😡

What are they looking for under the optional course name and number

anyone else notice how ridiculously simple this secondary was compared to others?
they don't even want to know what your post-bac plans are.

Notice how their first priority is making sure you know to use American Express or Visa or whatever, then their second priority is your LOR's.

1. MasterCard, Visa or American Express information
2. Name and titles of individuals who are sending Letters of Evaluation
3. Names and Year of Graduation for Alumni relatives
4. Names, academic titles, department and hospital affiliation for faculty or employee relatives

Yup me too... don't know why you guys are having problems. If you just leave it alone, you will be fine.
