aaah! just felt like bitching about the 10-12 week wait between interview and decision. i interviewed in early december and realize i still have 3.5-5.5 weeks left of waiting!!

🙁

I interviewed on October 22 and still have not heard...they were waiting for my graduate school grades from last semester which I was finally able to send this week...the wait is killing me! I think I'm at about 13-14 weeks now.

I finished my application at the end of August. My MCAT scores got lost in the mail, but they didn't say anything about it until December when I called them! Now my application is under review. Doesn't look good. 🙁

NYMC sent me a reminder today to turn in my secondary, isn't way too late? I forgot to withdraw from them, but I just thought it was cool they sent me a reminder, I haven't gotten one from anyone else.

I interviewed on 11/6. This is my 10th week (thank goodness). Do you guys know how accurate the status page is (compared to realtime)? I talked w/ the secretary and she told me just to check that. I'm kinda skeptical about doing that vs. calling.

Btw, Johns Hopkins emailed me a reminder to fill out their secondary. Too bad they didn't even email me to tell me I was invited to fill one out.

i dunno... mine has said decision pending committee review for about a month now. they haven't reviewed it yet?? you'd think they'd want to when i was fresh in their minds...

i think someone wrote on here that their status changed from that to something else (decision made? or something like that) not too long before they got word via mail.

how important do you think the interview is? mine was weird. i got the feeling he didn't really care about what i said and that he'd already judged me based on the small amount of info given to him from the primary. i dunno... maybe my interviewer was just a little... umm.. different.

Hey shrebee,
They asked for your grad school transcript?? Im a grad. student too and they never asked me for it.........am I suppose to send them an updated transcript?

I was told after interviewing it would take 8-12 weeks, not 10 to 12. Not that it makes a huge difference, but I have been looking forward to the last week with some urgency seeing as how I also interviewed on the 12th of November, oh well, I suppose i can make it another two weeks.

Hey everyone,

I interviewed at NYMC on Nov. 7th and heard today (an acceptance!), which makes it 10 weeks. I think someone posted this info on another thread earlier, but I checked my status page today, and it hasn't been updated since November, so I guess they're lagging. And by the way, they sent the letter to my parents' house.

I'll be withdrawing my app, so hopefully that'll make room for one of you to get an acceptance! Good luck! 🙂

Hey Jet915,

They called me about a week after I interviewed (Oct 22) and asked me to send my transcript at the end of the semester...I would call them and ask them if they want yours. I had an interview at Drexel on December 13 too...were you there? Have you heard back yet?

Thanks,
Shreebee

hey peeps..I know waiting sucks, but at least you guys already interviewed. I'm still waiting post secondary...how long did you guys wait to get your interview? thanks for the info. My app has been complete since October 17th! already 3 months waiting! doesn't look good....

hey dr. don, my app was complete there around oct. 12 or 13th and i just heard from them this past monday. . .so there is still a chance. . .🙂

Thanks Shreebee, I'll probably call NYMC up. Yep, I was at Drexel on 12/13. I havent heard back either but I think I heard that it takes like 2 months though.

Just wanted to add another voice of frustration at to the extremly long wait. I am quickly approaching my 10 week deadline (interviewed Nov. 19) so while I know my wait is almost up, it just seems to make waiting that much harder!!! Anyway good luck to all, and I hope that we will all be here posting on the new NYMC class of 2007 thread!!!
