Hi Everyone,

I've just recently found out that I've been accepted to NYU. I'm an international student from Toronto. I've managed to send in my admissions deposit last week, but I know I still have tons stuff I need to take care of. Can someone please update me on what I need aside from the list below:

- rez deposit (when do we find out about our assignments and can I cancel it if I don't like the assignment?)
-I20 form and documentation
- student loan (if I have a us cosigner (my uncle, a dentist) which bank should I go to?)
- health records (can most of the tests be done through blood test or do I need to get the record from my previous doctor in Vancouver?)

Any suggestions and comments would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!!

PS: citibank has a deal with NYU students they can offer prime minus 1%.

Ya.. lots... of money.. $_$

Is NYU the most expensive dental school, say overall?

Hey,

I'm from Toronto also and it wasn't too hard to get everything needed for NYU.
For financial documentation, you needed to show you have enough to cover your first year. I believe that amount was roughly 68,000. Of course, I suggest that you show you have more.
As for res assignments, and correct me if I'm wrong, I think that info comes in mid July. If you cancel i think they keep your deposit.
I also found out that Canadians dont need to get a student visa. I did a lot of run around at the US Consulate for nothing.
