We just started our Invisalign course this week. They said NYU is the only dental school to participate in this program. For you new dental students, I would urge your administration to take part in this program b/c once you graduate, you get certified to put utilize these orthodontic appliances as General Practioners.

Also, for those interested in how schools perform on National Boards, NYU is gearing towards raising its Pt. I scores. Starting with my class (2006), NYU is partnering up with Kaplan in a preparatory course for the Boards. Attendance is mandatory and if you don't attend, you don't get to take the Boards in the summer.

thanks for the info... im interviewing there next month...

how do you like it? was it one of your top choice schools? are you pleased with your decision?

I love it here. Tution is steep but in my opinion its worth every penny.

I know people say go to where its the cheapest, but I went againist it. I was accepted to my state school and hated it after the interview.

They are doing so many new things here its unreal...seems like the opportunities are endless.

Also the faculty is very helpful. We were doing some class ones in the mannequins today and my first one looked like complete $hit. One of the faculuty came over gave me some very very good pointers and my next one came out near perfect (For first year standards 😀 )

My friend does Invisalign in his practice...in fact, I have the brochure in front of me right now, as I grabbed one on my way out of his office last night.

He is getting ready to go to the stage 2 class, at the end of this month or next month. This is costing him $2500 for the day in tuition plus travel...I don't know what stage 1 cost, so I agree...if you can get this education IN school, it's definitely worth a shot, heh...
