So........I've been reading the big purple book "Official Guide to Dental Schools", and it says that the gpa and DAT data for NYU is from 2003-2004. Back then the avg. gpa was 3.1 (overall) and 3.0 (science), and the DAT avg. was 19 and 18 (academic and pat). Does anyone know what those values are now....as in for the 2007 cycle?? How is NYU compared to everyone else.......

Its kind of strange that people asking about stats don't seem to be looking deep enough. Predents.com is a fine source for information about statistics. People should use it more often.

pretty sure predents says that last years nyu class had 3.14 overall and 3.01 science..i think this year it will rise though. they told me that they want 3.3 overall,3.1 science and 3.0 bcp..in addition to solid 19+ DAT's.
although i have seen people accepted there with ~2.8 gpa's...so u never know
