my cousin is a first year there now, he interviewed like mid to end of may last year and got in a few days before he was going to resubmit his aadsas in august.

I just got a call from NYU for an interview at the end of March. They told me that they are still interviewing for both waitlist and open spots, so the class is not full yet.

Yea a buddy of mine just got an interview invite...and I just dropped my acceptance so that'll open up a spot for someone 😀

NYU's class size is big. You're bound to expect candidates opening spots from time to time till the very last hour.

If you want to be on the waitlist at any d-school, NYU is the one you want to be on. Large class size combined with a high tuition will result in people waiting 'last minute' to see if other cheaper dental schools will accept them, thereby opening up spots. There is no doubt being on the waitlist sucks as uncertainty is a bitch. But if there is any consolation, just know that you're being waitlisted at a school that has the best chance for you to be taken off and accepted.

it's really weird...i got into Pittsburgh, boston, and case.....I am from NY and didn't get any interviews from any of the NY schools.....i was really hoping to get an interview from nyu....but i guess it's not going to happen

What's the point of interviewing when they have 200+ people on the waiting list and the class is already full?
