Did you hear anything from them before this? Like confirmation about receiving your app?

I got the mail about a fee but that's it
 
Nope i hadn't heard anything from them other than the e-mail about the fee a few weeks ago.
 
I just got one too!! Yipee! I also got one from Midwestern. What a day!!
 
i got an email from NYU saying that they haven't received my third letter! my aadsas app got sent out end of MAy and my third letter got sent out July 23rd!! is anyone else having problems like this? hmm...dont want to be freakin out but still...all my other schools recieved all my letters......ahhh!!\

oh btw. congrats on your interview!

I got an email saying that they don't have my LORs yet and those were sent out two weeks after my app. I called NYU and they said they probably have it but it's just that they have piles and piles of LORs and apps that it'll take them a bit of time to go through all of it.

Not a clue😕 I will not even have a degree by the time of admission. With that exception I feel as though I am a pretty strong applicant.
 
I know I got one too today! I am so excited hopefully this year will be better than last year... I am a reapplicant so second time should be a charm!
 
Wow, I have not even got the initial email response yet....
 
Nothing here yet. But then again, I still need to send out my application fee.

So I sent my check in immediately after submitting AADSAS and my bank statement shows its already been deposited. Should I be expecting some kind of "your file is complete" e-mail? Or do I just hang out until I get an interview or rejection? Do you think I should call to find out? My AADSAS printout was mailed to the dental schools Jul 10.

futuredentist23 same thing happened to me, one of my letters was sent after the other two (about the same timeline as yours) and i got an e-mail from NYU saying they're missing one.
i emailed aadsas about it and they suggested i tell NYU to contact aadsas directly for the missing letter because my status online says they mailed it to them... i guess we should call them too?
 
This is what I got in my email.

"Thank you for applying for admission to the New York University College of Dentistry, the leadership dental College of the 21st century.

Our Admissions Team has received your application and it will be reviewed once all required materials have been received. As of today, we are in need of the following:

o Your application is complete.

If selected for an interview, we will email you directly. Interviews begin in mid-September.

I would like to again thank you for applying to NYUCD, and I do wish you all the best with your academic pursuits.
"

Is there a supplemental app for NYU? On aadsas, it says to send in the supp app when admissions contacts you. Just wondering if I should be looking out for one. Thanks
 
I just got an e-mail invite from NYU too!!! First one for me🙂 My application was complete around mid June...

My stats are on predents (my user name is johnkeyes24 on predents, not hawaiiguy24)...

Just got invited for an interview too...right in time to schedule it close to my columbia interview so I don't have to buy two plane tickets to NY...:laugh:

i'm seeing lots of movement on NYU's interview list. i know i'm not the only person so i want to see how many of us out there had our applications sent out waaaaaay early (like the 1st or 2nd AADSAS mailing batch) and we still haven't heard anything back from NYU???

congrats to these people, but why in the world are they hearing back before us? i called them and they said that they are a lot of applications and that it takes time to enter our names into their system. thing is that my name hasn't even been entered according to them, even though my AADSAS mailing was back on june 18th. i have interviews at other schools so i know my stuff (LORs, DAT scores, fees, etc.) has been getting out. anyone else with similar experiences with NYU so far??

yes, my app was submitted mid may and all of my aadsas letters were mailed out in the first batch. but after not hearing anything from them, i called this month and was lacadaisically told by one of the staff that my letters were missing. yeah, thanks for notifying me sooner.

i was further told that they have boxes of aadsas mailings still unopened and they'll probably find my letters within the next two months as they start going through the unopened material.

nyu, why hast thou treated me such???

When did you mail yours in? NYU is the only school that has not cashed my check.

I just checked my email this morning and found an interview invite to nyu as well. I schedualed for 9/18. Anybody else got that date?

AADSAS mailed out on July 10.
Application complete notification on August 31.

I thought they only did interviews on fridays😕
 
where are u guys gonna stay? i was looking for a hotel..but all the hotels seem really creepy or nasty...or both lol

When I called, they offered quite a few days of the week. Mine is scheduled for a Monday.

After booking a hotel (Union Square Inn) I canceled the booking after reading horrible reviews. I have now opted to stay in a Holiday Inn close to JFK. Reviews were better. But I don't really know how long the commute is going to take. Google maps says it would take around 30 mins.
