Anyone know if NYU are going to send any more interviews out before Dec. 1

I haven't got any answer from them. my application been under review since 9/30.

Hey Sashr4, I totally feel your pain. I too am waiting to get some love from them. We're kind of in the similar neighborhood stats wise, & your stats are definitely good enough for them. I think we both satisfy that. We just have to hope & keep our fingers, & perhaps toes crossed too 🙂. Hopefully things should workout for soon. Keep hanging in there, We're all in this together, heh.

yeah they're having interviews until march i think. i just called the admissions office the other day and apparently they misplaced my DAT score card, so my application has just been sitting around virutally complete for the past couple of months... good greif! ...but yeah there's still hope... also, don't forget NYU admits some students without an interview.

When did you submit your application? I submitted my application on September 27 and AADSAS sent out my application on Oct. 2nd, and I received an interview invitation. We have pretty similar stats, so maybe you should call NYU and see what's wrong.

i submitted my application in early august and it got sent out on august 16, and i still have not heard anything from them, i'm going to try calling them tommorow, does it show anything under you aadsas status?

After I emailed them...they told me that they will review my stuff
after 4 days I got a interview invite....
it might be sitting somewhere...cuz there r too many applicants

i really dont know what the deal is with nyu. someone from the adcom called me 2 months back and wanted to know whether ill be graduating next year. i told them i would be. after that call, ive heard nothing from them. 😡
has anyone else recieved such a call?

Your app was complete in late october or was it then it was mailed out from AADSAS? I heard it takes about 10 days for the school to receive it so if that's the case they reviewed your app at the speed of light.

I thought my stats were competitive but I guess not...20/23/18 with 3.67 bcpGPA

My application was MAILED out on October 12 (so about a month ago), and I just got an interview invite in my e-mail. I'm so excited!

According to the e-mail, they interview you FIRST, and then give you a tour, financial aid presentation, etc. Weird.

I think I like the idea of being interviewed first. That way you're not like waiting the whole day getting nervous and stressed out about it.

Hey Sash, congrats to you on BU & UMDNJ, YAYYY, I just woke up & got the email, hit me up when you get a chance, I got ittttttttt!!!!!!!! For a second, I was beginning to think they didn't like me, lol. You have slightly better stats than me, so its only a matter of time before you get it!!! 🙂

I think I like the idea of being interviewed first. That way you're not like waiting the whole day getting nervous and stressed out about it.

Works both ways, if the interview goes well then you can enjoy the tour but if it doesn't (hopefully it doesn't happen to you guys), you're left with the feeling of wtf just happened.

well, you might be getting in without an interview, so I wouldn't worry about it too much if I were you. 🙂 My stats were good, I don't want to say the numbers because I'm a little self-conscious, haha. But I was satisfied enough with them.

Question: I've called and they've told me that they've got interview dates at end of November and first week of December... If I go for an interview in November, I'd be able to *maybe* get accepted in that December 1 mailing (that's wht they told me).... SO - do you think I should go for it? Or should I wait till after December 1, see if the schools I've interviewed at have accepted me? If they have, then I guess there wouldn't be a need for going to NYC and spending so much money.... but if I wait and end up not getting accepted at any school, then I've already lowered my chances at NYU. What should I do?

i SUPPOSE going for a post dec-1st interview at nyu is safe. half the people who are offered admission dont accept it. so, you can go with either.

My friend interviewed in April last year and got in (for that same year). Don't sweat it. 🙂
