🙁 dont think so buddy. i called today they simply said they dont do phone requests and I have to wait for the letter.

I think that means its waitlist or rejection. Why else wouldnt we get the email? 🙁

ye but NYU is close to home and I thought it went well. 🙁 dunno what happened.
 
I also thought my interview went very well considering my interviewer told me I would be a great fit for the school. Looking at last year, I believe some people were also accepted dec 2, 3, and 4. So, I think we still have a shot just hang in there.

You are right! thank for making us a little more optimistic. But I think what is killing everyone (including me) is not getting the email. 😡

Im really perplexed that i dont have anything from there.

1. my stats are: 3.55 reg, 3.60 sci, 3.68 BCP, 23 AA, 24 TS and 20 PAT.
2. my cousin went there recently
3. its mad expensive
4. I thought my interview went well

......dont get it.
 
im in the same boat as you guys. I thought my pre-dec interview went really well!! im trying to stay positive that they still havent sent out all the acceptances:xf:
 
I'm calling them today and giving up the spot they offered me. I just didn't like NYU enough to justify spending that kind of money when I got into some less expensive options that I loved. I hope one of you gets my spot!
 
just got the morning mail and no letter from NYU, although i interviewed in October.... Is there a reason i got no mail from them?
 
only those who were accepted get an early email. waitlist/rejection get snail mail as their notification.

dude im not talking about not getting an email. I said i didnt get any MAIL from them, when i was under the impression everyone would get something by the end of friday.

this is what i also thought..but i guess the interviewer thought different =/

i wonder when we're supposed to receive the waitlist/rejection mails..

hey, I did not get any mail from them either. Hold in there.
 
Same no postal mail today. We still have tomorrow. If not, then def we should hear from them Monday.

👎 i live in NYC ill check my mail in 2 hours.
 
NYU said mail should take 3-5 days depending on where you are. they had them in by December 1st so give it some time. like Parle G said, you still got tomorrow and Monday.

Mail takes 2 days in most states. Nothing arrived today, hoping for tomorrow.

If it it was sent out yesterday then it should have arrived to me today Because I am in NYC.

Therefore it will probably be sent out today or Monday.

Haha it's a little chilly for ice cream 😀 btw nothing in mail for me either. I'm about to go to NYU dental and find out for myself 🙁. Do you guys seriously think we may still have an acceptance in the packet if we didn't get the email ?

are decisions given out in person? i would go and ask as well im not too far away. I dont want to play the waiting game.

I would assume so. They probably would just ask you for an ID or something to verify you are the person who applied. They don't do statuses over the phone though

right thats what they told me. i guess it makes sense that they would do it in person, but they said decisions are sent out by mail so i dunno if in person would be a weird situation or would even work out.

So did they send out anything? Mail to Montreal takes a bit longer so I'd like to know.
 
my friend who lives close by got the acceptance package today. and after calling them they have confirmed if you did not recieve the email then you have been waitlisted/rejected. so all we can do now is pray and wait. good luck to everyone.
 
NYU snail mail just received today, NY resident. Waitlisted. 🙁
 
Can someone explain how they have a waitlist if the whole class isn't filled up? Doesn't the whole idea of a waitlist depend on that?
Also, have they sent out rejections?

the wait list decision is based on a few different factors. i would definitely call them or if you are local, go into the office and meet with an admissions advisor to see what your application needs.
