I called NYU last week just to make sure they had everything, and the lady told me she had not received my check so my application was on hold. After getting off the phone I checked my bank statement and it said that it had been cashed in September, so I called the lady back and told her, she finally found the mistake and fixed it and said that my application would be reviewed now. What sucks is, is that it had been there for almost a month.
I just wanted to let you guys know so that it doesn't happen to you guys!

Kashew this is somewhat of a catch 22. I interviewed at NYU in septmeber and there were two other students their who had not submitted their checks. So your application isn't on hold. They just haven't gotten to it yet. So in a way, don't feel bad and don't be upset at the fact that you think that your app could have been reveiwed earlier if this didn't happened. 🙂
