I recently spoke to admissions at NYU, and they said that they are really only interviewing applicants with 20+ DATS and 3.3 sci and non sci gpas, with no score on the DAT less than 18. Have you guys noticed this based on who has revieved interviews?? Is this typical of NYU?

I've read a few posts about NYU using the search function, and this isn't typical... or, at least according to those posts. If I recall, someone mentioned that NYUCD has a new dean, so maybe he has pushed for some modifications to admissions criteria. But only the admissions office knows for sure. When I called in a few weeks ago, they did not mention a static GPA or DAT requirement, but mentioned that the numbers on their website are an average of a larger range.

i have DAT less than 20 and sci gpa less than 3.3. and i have an interview. but i don't have any scores less than 18.

I have a 15 in QR and a 17 in PAT and I have an interview.

my science gpa doesn't make that 3.3 standard, and i have a 17 on the PAT. it seems like they're not being so strict about any cutoffs they say they have.

My QR score was a 16 and everything else was higher than 18, but i do have a GPA higher than 3.5 and i also received an interview.
