I interviewed at NYU this year and noticed that a significant proportion of the residents are Asian. Has anyone else noticed this and is there any reason for this that I might be missing? I don't want to offend anyone, it's just an observation and I wonder if there is an explanation. Thanks!

First, I hope you enjoyed your interview day at NYU. Our Chair, PD, Faculty and Residents work very hard so that you could get a feel for what residency is like at NYU.
With regards to your question, I can assure you that the program is culturally diverse, and selection of residents is based on merit alone.
