I was hoping to get some feedback from any current or past students of NYU school of medicine. I am interested to know if any NYU students participate in any programs with the World Health Organization. Seeing as the UN headquarters are just a few blocks from NYU med campus, is it possible to intern/volunteer/get involved with the World Health Organization while a medical student? thanks for any feedback if anyone knows about this.

WHO's headquarters for the America's Regional Office is actually in Washington, DC. The International headquarters is in Geneva, so I'm guessing there aren't too many opportunities in NYC (there could be some, I dont know). Anyways, WHO internships are unpaid, and last from 6 to 12 weeks. No formal application process, just send your info to each office that you're interested in working with.

I haven't heard of any . . . but also haven't asked around. So all I can tell you is it's not huge. Beyond that your guess is as good as mine.
