Anyone else gonna be doing it this summer? Those who have done it, what should we expect from it? Is it demanding?

i'm doing it this summer.
anyone know how tough its going to be??

and how do they give us our money... by check?

Yeah, I have no clue what we'll be doing. In fact, I never had any research experience, so i really dont know what is expected of us. it's awesome how they're givin us soo much money =D

when is the summer research? anyone need a place to stay before school starts? I will be going back home for the summer so I have a studio for rent.

Hi all, D2 here. Have a master bedroom available at waterside plaza (<5min walk to school). The room size is 14-4 X 9-5 and is going for 1100 plus electricity - this is a STEAL compared to the amount you will be paying through the dorms while you are in school. Its a 2bedroom converted to 3, with 1 bathroom. Youll be living with 2 other D2 students. The lease is from may 15, 2009-August 31, 2010. (a little before your research starts). Let me know if you are interested.

hi has anyone received additional info about this- after the first e-mail??

It's a fun time. Depending on whose lab you're in you might work hard or you might find yourself really struggling to fill the time, but in either case you get the chance to take part in something before the rest of your class gets here. Then you can present your work and keep working on it if you want.

heyyy
did you guys end up doing the summer research program??
how was it??
considering doing it--but did you like it?was it fun or a lot of work?
what are the hours and how many days a week??
what projects/issues do you work on?

thankss in advance,
