NYU Transcript Verification/ File Audit

Hi all,

For those of you who are going to attend NYU, I was wondering when the file audit/transcript verification process would end? If I have time to take a trip without worrying about an incomplete files. Also I know someone on the waitlist and heard that the audit would have to end before they go through the waitlist.

Wait... I thought we can send our final transcript by August 1st. I put my $2,500 deposit to NYU. I am taking short summer session whch is going to end in the first week of July.
Am I in trouble then? And what do you mean by transcript verification?

hell, before i was even interviewed (and accepted) i enrolled in a summer course that ends in mid-Aug, which i need to finish to graduate. Before accepting the admissions offer I was told i was ok by a committee member, and that i just needed to send proof that im graduating upon completion of the course. but since the auditor probably doesn't know this, im getting worried i have some hassles ahead for me.

Well, my summer course will be done by early July, so I am just going to send my final transcript and it will be there by mid July. However, in your case, your course will be done in mid-Aug. Did you ask them if you can send your final transcript after August 1st deadline? If they said, yes then, I would not worry about it. But Let's study hard for our remaining courses!!

I hope everyone recieved the email by Pat DeJohn, she says we will recieveing an update on any missing materials by the week of June 23.

^^I would def call and ask. If the course ends mid august, that is when we have orientation (8/18). Just let them know and hopefully it all works out for you.

im debating if i should email the auditor to bring my situation to her attention in case she doesn't understand why im sending in these letters.

musl85. i called before i accepted the offer. my exam will be between aug11-15. she (committee member) actually looked up the dates to make sure i'll make it and she said i should be ok, even though i told her the grades for the class would come in about a week later.

the question is how much power committee members have in making these decisions. it'd be devastating if its one of those situations where one person says yes but another says no.
