NYU vs Buffalo vs UDM

you can become a NY resident after 1 year, so Buffalo is way cheaper than NYU. not even close. I would choose buffalo out of those three if money is an issue.

disclaimer: I have been accepted to both NYU and Buffalo

Buffalo is a much safer city than Detroit. That's a fact. And you'll get much cheaper tuition at Buffalo as well.

I'm Canadian so that won't help. Where are you going, Buffalo? While cost is a factor, I would prefer to choose a school or city I want to go to as the cost will be recouped down the road IMO.

Yea. In regards to Buffalo and UDM their both great schools. Its a tough choice between these two imo.

One other thing to think about is that when I was there for the interview at buffalo, I was told that the school recently received a hefty grant and that they would be renovating the school from the basement up over the next few years. The 3rd year students I was speaking to mentioned that construction would become a pain. But this is just one small factor to take into consideration. (You probably want to confirm the extent of this from a current student however. I just had 2 students telling me this during the tour)

In regards to UDM, with the large number of Canadians it seems that they've formed a bit of a community there. Seems nice I guess.

Thanks for the reply, construction would be a huge annoyance as I remember dealing with that during undergrad and it was extremley frustrating most days. Especially if they are just starting as that is the loudest part lol. Too bad it wasn't getting finished in time for September!
