NYU waiting list

Anything new anyone? Does anyone know how many people NYU accepted already from WL? I called the admission office and they told me that the WL has not really moved... It's this really true.

i don't know much about the WL, but I'm on it too and am hoping to get in! I actually do know that it's moved and that it has moved earlier than it did last year (last year it didn't move until June, supposedly, and this year it started in late May). I don't think they WL as many as Columbia, but I also have heard that the list is pretty long and that it moves slowly.

Thanks for the info... Kiwicat. I'll be going to SUNY Downstate if I don't hear from NYU, but I'm still hoping... at least I heard NYU takes lots of people from the WL. I am also WL at BU but not sure if I'll like to go there...

Hey guys, I got the call from NYU about two weeks back, so the waitlist is definitely moving. I passed up the offer, though. Hopefully one of y'all gets it. 👍

Yes, I got off the Cornell waitlist and waited for the fin aid package before making my decision. It wasn't an easy decision. NYU is an excellent school with great people in the administration, who are very willing to guide students. I was also impressed with NYU SOM's wealth of research labs.

acab, you DEFINITELY made the right choice. If I had a choice between the two, I'd go to Cornell, too.

I got into NYU back in December.

I am still on their waitlist, but I need to withdraw. I got into my state school, and that made me the happiest man in the world.

Congrats on getting into your state school! There is A LOT to be said for in-state tuition!!!

And thanks for withdrawing from the WL at NYU -- hopefully one of us other SDN-ers will get in!

I actually got an e-mail last week about whether or not I was interested in NYU. I gave a positive response and was accepted this morning. Now I gotta decide between this school and vandy.

If RWJ was another 10k cheaper with a more progressive curriculum, it would actually be a good option against the NYC schools IMO.
