What is the story of NYU waiting list? I see recently some of my SDN friends getting admission at NYU. Is there any chance for somebody who interviewed really late. The last week of April................. Is it a good idea to get in touch with NYU administration?

I actually am on the waitlist, but screw it im going to podiatry school...more surgery...Temple here I come.

NYU wont tell you any information if you are a waitlisted student. Nobody knows how many are on the waitlist, where they are at on the waitlist and what their chances are of getting an acceptance from the waitlist...NYU is very tight lipped about their waitlist.

I interviewed on April 11th by Dr. Wiesberg or something like that, very grumpy ol guy, he was cussing up a storm too...hm. I received a snail mail letter from them about 2 and a half weeks later, and have no earthly clue where im at on the list or how fast it moves. I bet there are more than 75 people on it though, I wouldn't doubt it one bit. Which sucks.

I was interviewed in late April and it went very well, but i was put on the waitlist too. I hope the fact that they are sending accpetances to those interviewed and waitlisted in early/mid April means they will move on to those interviewed late April by next month!!! what do you guys think??? i really like NYU!!

I decided to stay in California...I'm going to USC....anyways as far as stats go...GPA 3.5 (UCLA grad), DAT 20AA and 17PAT, I hope that helps. I have a friend on the NYU waitlist for the second year in a row so I'm hoping for the best for everyone...once again, good luck.

NYU is surely one of the best schools. Is there anybody else waiting to share their experiences. I wonder people who were waitlisted last year had to wait for the longest time. Trust me it is not healthy to wait and mess up with your existing school.

How fast does the waiting list move? Who decides about the admissions?

How long does it take for NYU to alert the individual for Acc/Rej. I was told that they willl get in touch with me in a few weeks. Is that a usual scenario for all the applicants. Man, this was my olny interview and I hope I will get accepted otherwise cycle 2006 here I come again.

Also do the interviewers compliment on your answers. I was complimented but donot know if thats going to have any impact on the acceptance. If you end up getting an interview what exactly do they look to make a decision. Man, I love NYC. 🙂

It took 18 days to get mine in hand. They mailed it on a Monday, and I recieved it the following Monday.

Did u guys call them before hand? I am too afraid to piss off the administration. Tell me the norms of post interviews.
