OAT achiever and Topscore

Hi everybody, I hope everyone who is writing the OAT this summer is hanging on..🙂

Anyways...I had a quick question. I am planning on getting OAT achiever...but I also heard that topscore is pretty good. Does anyone suggest that I get both?.............or do both of them have the same questions (I.E. they both have the same number of questions, and thus may overlap) and therefore suggest just getting one of the them?

Well, since no one else is offering their insights, I guess I will...

TopScore is a good product, but they don't have detailed solutions. So you have to figure out on your own why you get questions wrong. Another thing is that you can only use the CD for a few months (7 I think) before it locks up. I've also heard there is one slight difference between TopScore software and actual testing software. In Reading Comprehension, when you click "next" the article stays wherever you were at. In the real software, every time you click "next" the article automatically goes to the beginning.

I haven't used Achiever, but I've heard it's MUCH harder than the real thing. It does include detailed solutions, and the software matches exactly as the test software.

As for buying both, it depends on how much practice you think you need. I would suggest getting one of the two and getting the think Kaplan OAT book that has 2 more practice tests. If you still think you need more practice after that, I'd get the other practice tests.

ive been using the destroyer and think its great- especially for the gen chem and orgo sections- it explains all the answers really well. although im curious about the topscore as well - did you get it?

I used OAT Achiever when preparing to retake the test and it helped me tremendously to raise my scores. It's the only computerized software I know of that features challenging sample exams with detailed explanations. 👍

What do you mean by topscore not having detailed solutions? do they only give you the correct answer ie.. number 2 is a number 3 is b.. or do they actually supply explanations, just not as detailed as kaplan or achiever?? thanks! I am debating which to get..or both!

all it tells u is 2 is a and 3 is b... itll tell u the topic and subtopic that the information covers so u can find the answer urself.. u also know this way which topics u're weak in.
