This is the new practice program I just heard from my friend. I just downloaded the free DEMO from the following website and thought some of you might be curious to find out about this software too, herewith:

http://www.3tquest.com/

I bought this program two days ago after seeing this thread and have so far tried Survey of Natural Sciences 1 and Physics 1. Questions from these tests are tough and challenging overall, and I think the explanations given are good and helpful too ...

is the OAT acheiver worth its money? I have alot of good things about the DAT achiever and was wondering if I should purchase the OAT achiever as well..let me know

is the oat achiever similar to topscore in that it is just practice exams? there are no subject tests or review books like you get with kaplan, right?

I did call up the author over the weekend and was told that OAT Achiever had actually been 3/4-derived from DAT Achiever in terms of its Survey and Natural Sciences, Reading Comprehension, and Quantitative Reasoning Tests. I guess that's what Kaplan did to their DAT and OAT materials too, considering the OAT being administered by the American Dental Association (ADA) via the Prometric Centers, besides having the aforesaid sections of tests falling under the same scope of examination.

With very few good OAT test preps available to choose from, I certainly feel the Achiever's sample exams for the OAT are worth the choice.

I've not tried topscore yet, but like as you mentioned, the OAT Achiever I currently use carries only practice exams with no review notes. But I think it's a well-written software with great explanation that comes along for each problem/question there... at least I don't seem to detect any error or mistakes yet. Good luck to you then... :luck:

You're right, Joseph. I found that the Physics questions are especially helpful to prepare me for the OAT. For instance, you're going to occasionally expect some uniquely conceptual problems along with the tests, i.e. why the water surface's flat, characteristic of a normal/rection force, mathematical explanation to Archimedes Principle, ... which have greatly enhanced my grasps on the basics. I mean I don't even learn all these stuffs so well from my physics professor, who has always been asking students in the class to simply plug and use formulas memorized from the book ...

I think OAT Achiever is comparatively/generally more difficult and in-depth than topscore and kaplan. It should be a great guide to prepare us for the big day ...

Good for you, opticrave. I hope you're going to do well in your OAT though! 😉

I actually used DAT Achiever to prepare somewhat for my OAT several months back. Questions from the Achievers' are truly challenging and crucial to getting high scores. You guys are lucky to have a proper OAT Achiever (equipped with physics sample tests) on hand now...

Just a quick question: Is there a way I can reset the tests in OAT Achiever?

I think that's what I did, but the answers don't seem to be erased. 😕

You probably didn't uninstall the program prior to reinstalling it. Suggest that you contact the author directly if you still can't get this fixed.

Good luck to your coming OAT then. 🙂
