Hey guys, I was taking my 4th full-length and noticed the achiever reading passages are now longer with 50 questions there on the sample test. Has the OAT been revised to feature 50 questions/60 min instead of the previously known 40 question/50 min?

Yes it has!

Thanks for the confirmation. I actually called up the Optometry Admission Testing Program for the same question. The lady who answered my phone was kind of rude and said nothing has changed before I even finish saying out my question. I then asked her how many questions and the time allowed on OAT reading. Straightaway she said 40 questions/50 minutes. But when I told her some students who recently took the test were caught off guard with 50 questions/60 minutes, she reluctantly put me on hold to verify that. And here comes her last uncivil voice before I hung up on her, "It's 60 minutes and 50 questions... okayyyy..." 🙁

That's funny you mentioned the lady being rude. I thought it was only me. Whenever I call them I swear I always get the same rude lady. Next time I should get her name and complain! She's honestly so brutally rude!

I doubt there is anything we could do to correct her attitude; that's just human and everyone is different. That being said, I am glad I am now done with the OAT, TS: 360, AA: 340. The Achiever is brutal but this has made the actual thing relatively easy. And like I read in other thread, one of Achiever's reading topics, I believe it was something about pontoon bridge, actually popped up on my screen. I also saw some very similar biology and maths questions from Achiever on my OAT. Could have spent more time reviewing their tests.

Congrats to the scores you managed to pull through. It's good to know that OAT Achiever updates their tests to reflect the current administration. I think it is one of the few softwares out there that covers complete materials including the physics section.

Changes are made periodically. I remember QR used to have 50 questions before it was changed to a 40 question test. You guys would just have to read the OAT guide before beginning with any study plan. I just took a quick look at the Achiever website and they have 7 complete tests to offer now?
