OAT Destroyer - Chemistry

Would anyone agree here that the OAT Destroyer General Chemistry questions are A LOT harder than the actual OAT?

I took the Kaplan course, which was semi-helpful, but I have a month until my exam and I do not feel Kaplans material is challenging/informative enough to prepare me for the real test, so I bought the OAT Destroyer for more practice.

These questions are pretty hard I must say. WAYYY harder than Kaplans questions. Anyone agree that these are harder, or would you say they are an accurate depiction of what the OAT questions will be like?

Also, what other study tools have you guys used? I'm just trying to make this last month of studying as effective as possible without wasting any time on useless study materials.

Yeah the Destroyer is alot harder because most of the problems are more than 2 steps. The actual test question usually dont have more than a couple steps. OAT destroyer was good practice and helped me really understand the concepts/relationships between equations/material

Sounds good I've been practicing with it, so I guess it doesn't hurt to be more prepared. I just wish the Destroyer questions weren't so scattered and all over the place, and were a bit more organized in sections but its ok

Hey, I just took my OAT today. I personally didnt think the destroyer gen chem was as hard as the DAT bootcamp for example. I think that the OAT was pretty close to the DAT qvault gen chem actually. It had some pretty simple questions, so they do throw some freebies in there. I also used Chads videos for all the subjects and DATqvault for biology as well! I scored a 360 TS and 350 AA.

Hey echeema,

I'm currently studying for the OAT exam for the end of the year. I have mainly been taking exams left and right. Do you think the DAT BOOTCAMP is worth it ?! I'm a very bad test taker also 🙁

just took another Kaplan practice test. man, some of these calculation they make you do without a calculator are just plain unrealistic. they'll have answers where they have you "round off" in the explanations, and their answers are off by at least 0.3-0.5, and they expect you to automatically assume and do this when you're taking the real OAT? I don't think it would be like that on the real test...I hope....
