Hey guys,

I was wondering if there's a way on the test to mark questions you were unsure of or skipped. I'm assuming(hopefully) that there is a way to go back and check/change answers. I.E For reading comp, is there a way for me to skip to different passage, like the 3rd one, and answer that first and then go back to the other two?

Thanks.

Yes there is a "mark" question option. There will be a tutorial at the beginning before the exam starts which tells you how to do it. When you finish a section, they will bring you to a page where there is a table with all the questions on the section, and it shows you which questions are marked, or unfinished, which you can double click and go back to those questions specifically. For the RC section, I did my passages in order but if you want to skip, you can just press the next button until you reach the 2nd passage, not sure if there is a option for you to go directly to it. How the RC section is formatted is that, there will be one question on the top of the page, and the rest of the page include the passage which you can scroll through.

Thanks!

Is it possible to look at things in your locker at the break? I.E phone/notes/food?

you know, i always wondered that. you are required to read the rules and regulation for the oat before registering for it. although you can click "yeah i read it" and move on, i actually did read it. It doesnt specify anything about the 15 min break...just regulations on breaks during the timed portions (aka unscheduled). this is found around pages 14-15 i think:

1.
No personal or miscellaneous items are permitted in the secure testing area. Any personal belongings brought to the test center must be stored in a designated locker. Storage facilities are limited. Upon reasonable suspicion, your personal belongings may be inspected. Notes or any materials accessed during testing or an unscheduled break that appear to contain test content may be confiscated.

4. You should not engage in conversation while on break and are strictly prohibited from discussing the examination at that time. Use of a telephone on an unscheduled break is prohibited.

5. Test center administrators will report the activity of examinees who take unscheduled breaks. You may not study or refer to notes or texts while on an unscheduled break. You may not access personal belongings or prohibited items (see #2 above) during unscheduled breaks and may not leave the testing center during an unscheduled break.
(personally, during my 15 minutes i asked if it was okay to grab my coffee and granola bar. the gal said it was fine)

honestly, i didnt want to chance any suspicion watsoever. so i just chilled out during my 15, inhaled my coffee that was patiently waiting in my locker, did some stretches, and walked back in

Thanks!

Hey. My site had me put notes/folders away in my car before starting my test. During the break, I could use my phone, take a restroom break, and eat my snacks. As long as you're not discussing ANYTHING test related, it isn't a problem. I would call your specific site and see what they say. They have like folder logs of everything allowed and not allowed for each test they proctor. Good luck!
