Hi all,

I'm new to the forum. I'm taking the OAT in exactly 2 weeks, and I feel like I still have a lot of studying to do. I've mainly been looking at questions from that blue OAT Kaplan book, along with someone's lesson book from the Kaplan course they took. How much harder is the OAT from that blue book? I just heard that it was a waste of money 🙁 .

I also just got topscore, and I'll be using that today. Hopefully that should help a little.

I actually took the Kaplan course and thought the best thing about Kaplan is the amount of resources that they provide ( practice tests, subject tests, etc.) I don't know if the "little blue book" you're referring to is the same as the Kaplan Review book provided to students who register for the course. But if it is, then it should give you a good foundation for your studies.

I can not emphasize enough the importance of going through practice problems and full lenght practice tests. These were what helped me the most. I also found that I ended up scoring a lot higher on my actual OAT than the practice tests provided by Kaplan but didn't necesarrily feel that the actual OAT was easier. I don't know, it doesn't make sense to me either.

Hope this helps. Good luck in your studies. 🙂
