I just took my OAT recently it was way lower than I expected. I am wondering if I should still apply with these or retake it and then apply to UHCO. Anyone know people who got in UHCO with these stats?
QR: 260
RC:310
BIO:310
GCHEM: 320
OCHEM:290
PHYS:290
TS:300
AA:300

GPA 3.58
ps: I don't get how I scored so low on ochem, I was getting 320 on the achiever 🙁

Here's the UHCO class profile for the 2015 graduating class: http://www.opt.uh.edu/academics/od/class-profile.cfm

Note that these are averages, meaning that some were above and some were below what is posted. That being said, with 3 sections below the 300 mark, I would suggest retaking the OAT. The deadline for this cycle is less than 3 months away, which doesn't give you time to schedule the next exam (every 90 days). Maybe if you talk to the UHCO admissions department, they'll work something out with you.

Apply. There's really nothing to lose that a few days work can't fix.

I would go ahead and study again and retake just in case, then apply in June.

I got accepted with a 280 in General Chem, and 260 in Reading Comp. My TS was 310 and AA was 300 overall. However, I applied early. Nonetheless, if it's not a financial strain, apply. This will benefit you in that you will be more familiar with the process in the case you're not accpeted this cycle.

Sorry to bring this post back! but i just took my OAT this week and got a AA of 350 and TS of 370. UHCO is one of my top choices! However as of now I only have one rec letter from a science prof and I think you need two for the UHCO app. What if I can't get another science prof rec letter?

Ive been working at an optometrist office so that Optometrist will be writing a rec letter for me also.
