When I registered for the exam last year, I had to pay the fee first before I can see the test dates. The testing center that I chose had available dates pretty much every day of the week if I could remember correctly, although I did register about 5 months before my desired test date.

Unfortunately you do, I called and thats what they told me. I still haven't signed up yet for it and i plan taking it the end of august. Maybe I should register for it soon..

Yeah same here! I wanted to take it the last week of August but no idea if it's even open around where I live 🙁
I guess we should

There is a way! It's kind of confusing but if you go on to the Prometric website and go through the process of signing up to take the oat instead of agreeing with the terms and conditions, disagree and a new page will upload and you will be able to check availability. If this fails try calling ADA and they will walk you through the process.

Is this when they ask for the fees? I don't see a disagree option?

Is there a way to see what test dates are available for the OAT without paying the 330 dollar fee?

I'm pretty sure you guys are making way too big of a deal out of this. As the test is computerized and proctored at a computerized testing site, almost all weekdays are available. All the testing site has to do is select the "template" for the test the day of...so it's pretty much any day the site is open. Their slots also usually don't fill up.

Once you pay the fee, you have 6 months to register, so if you know you're going to take it, go ahead and pay the fee. After that, you can choose any test center and any date.
