Hi,
I was just curious if anyone the forum had done the study abroad equine program at Oatridge college in Scotland. If anyone has, do you have any information, tips, or advice? What did you think of the program?
I've heard good things about SRUC, but I've not heard about Oatridge College specifically. *I think I need more coffee. Just read your topic title properly. Is this the link to the programme? http://www.oatridge.ac.uk/international_students/equine_summer_school Looks interesting (particularly the study of Equine anatomy and phys); however, since they haven't updated in the past year it makes me question the organizing of the programme. Also, as far as I know, these summer study abroad programmes tend to be more expensive than what they're worth - in my opinion at least. I'd much rather stay home and ride my horses. But if you're looking for a way to get abroad for a few months, it might be a good option if you can afford it. I'm not sure that it will improve your chances for veterinary school, but it might be an interesting experience to talk about.
Thanks for the response, I knew it was a long shot that anyone had done it. Does anyone have any study abroad programs to recommend in general. My college gave me a scholarship for study abroad and Im trying to find something vet related.
