OB/GYN, FB with OB, or Peds

I am struggling with which I am most interested in OB/GYN, FB with OB, or Peds....I know its a decsion a long time off, however I am curious to seee what other SDNers think.

Go into medical school with an open mind, check out what you are interested in, see what ends up appealing to you, and proceed from there. You have a very long time to figure this out ... and since these are PC fields, you will have a lot of time to rotate through these departments in your core rotations and really see what you like. I wouldn't stress now.

Hah, I think I started to touch on that subject in another thread we're both on (the one created by Trogghunter about PCPs). It's interesting to think about the different possibilities/combos with residencies/fellowships, but as stated above- we won't know what we'll want to do until we expierence it. 🙂

I can only echo what others have said. It's a long time before you have to worry about it. Besides, most people change their minds once they actually start rotating through different fields. What may have looked attractive at one point suddenly becomes a nightmare once you have "lived" it for a while. Practically everyone I know has changed hos or her mind at least once while in med school. Chances are that you will too. 🙂
