Everyone keeps saying that there is a significant representation of OB/GYN type questions on COMLEX step 1, and I was just wondering what types of questions are on the exam.... ie. is more basic placental abruption/FSH/estrogen/birth control pills type questions or are they actually OB/GYN specific like the cardinal stages of labor? And do you think that the info in FA and BRS phys/path is enough?

On my exam there was a lot of Ob/Gyn:

The questions I saw were about Ob/Gyn cancers. Different presentations and then assumed diagnosis (ie. heavy set = endometrial ... yes it was that limited to extrapolate). I also had a good deal about ovulation and relation to best time for pregnancy. Had A LOT on FSH/LH/Prolactin .... BC pills etc. I think I had an overkill of Ob/Gyn on my exam, but it didn't make a hill of beans difference.

Hope that helps.

I had a host of questions about different types of birth control pills... kind of took me by surprise.

Was expecting more on the menstrual cycle or gyn pathology.
