So it definitely hasn't hit me that I'm DONE with this stupid test yet... I don't know how I'll manage without having to worry about it anymore 🙄

I'll post my actual scores vs my Kaplan scores from 11 days before the actual test and 5 days before.

KAP1 / KAP2 / Actual
BIO 300 330 350
GC 290 310 340
OC 330 370 340
PHYS 340 270 370
RC 340 370 360
QR 350 340 340
TS 320 320 360
AA 330 330 350

As far as qualitative comparisons, I was moderately surprised with the bio section... there were at least 4 questions that I frankly didn't even know what they were asking (random structures I had never seen before, concepts that I hadn't learned or even heard of). The physics section was significantly easier than the practice tests; mostly kinematics and force problems. Organic chem had a few questions asking the actual names of reactions (not just the product/starting material), and I kind of blanked on a couple of those. I didn't hit any problems with reading comprehension, and I actually thought that it was pretty similar to Kaplan. For QR, I ran out of time... by that point my mind was kind of slowing down

I took a Kaplan course, used OAT destroyer and TopScore. Over the summer spent about 6 hours/day studying, but once the semester started my studying decreased SIGNIFICANTLY. The week before the exam, I honestly didn't do anything for the exam other than the practice exam 5 days before. I mainly just tried to keep my cool and not psych myself out.

Congrats!!! You did great!!! :clap::clap:

Thank you! Honestly, I'm not CRAZY thrilled about the scores because I was hoping for higher, but with a 3.4 science & cumulative GPA, I think I should be okay.

I've applied to SUNY, NECO, SCCO and Western. I'm finishing my applications for Berkeley and PCO.

Congrats on your scores!

I just took the first Kaplan OAT practice exam and scored as follows:

Bio: 380
GChem: 340
OChem: 400
RC: 380
Phys: 330
QR: 350

I was honestly surprised when I got those scores, especially on the physics and QR sections. Physics seemed VERY hard for me on this Kaplan exam. I honestly felt like I was guessing on many of these questions and didn't know how to approach them but I guess i must have been doing something right because it was better than expected.

QR is simply hard because I am not fast at doing problems and ended up having to guess. Is it really 45 mins for 50 questions on the real OAT exam? because that does not seem right...

The physics on the actual exam is much easier than on the practices. For me, QR was the same level of difficulty as Kaplan though. It might have even been harder for me on the actual exam just because I was so ready for it to be over when I was taking it. I ran out of time on the actual, and that rarely happened when I was practicing. I don't remember exactly how many questions/minutes there were though.
