How hard is it to obtain residency if you graduate from the Caribbean? Thanks!

Not hard or very hard depending on many variables.

Can you please explain what the variables are?

There are many more factors than board scores.

Board score is just one of the cut-offs when being selected for interviews. It is a common misconception to think school and scores is everything.

Other imp factors include your transcript, who writes your dean's letters and rec letters, where you do your clinicals, and your own connections....to name a few...

Generally speaking primary care residencies like FM, IM, Peds, and OBGYN are very doable from offshore schools. If you want to go into Surgery, Rads, Anesthesiology it will be harder to match into these residencies from an offshore school.
