ochem DAT Destroyer Advice

Hi guys! I was going through the ochem section of the DAT destroyer after watching Chad's videos.. still haven't fully memorized the reactions yet but im slowly going through the problems and im probbably understanding 30% of the material (just the synthesis part since that's kind of like memorization and only cuz i look through my notes that I made and sn1/sn2/e1/e2).

I just wanted to know if other people felt this way about the ochem. Should I still continue to track through the dat ochem destroyer even though I haven't memorized the reaction steps or what do you guys suggest? Or should I memorize the reactions from Chad's and then pile through the destroyer? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Take the huge OChem Quiz with Chad first, then watch the videos you scored lowest on, then conquer DAT Destroyer. I think that's the most efficient way. Also Destroyer should be gone through more than once to really reap its benefits.

It had been a little while since I had OC. I went through all of Chad's videos (a bit of OCD) and took notes (pretty much everything he wrote on the boards) and studied them (read - memorized). I looked through the DAT destroyer Orgo section 4 days before the test. While I did not know everything in there, I had essentially memorized the road maps via the notes I took with Chad's vids.
I also went through and felt somewhat okay about my ability to answer the questions in the destroyer.

End result, 21 OC.

thanks guys for the feedback! I think i will start burning through the destroyer and memorize the reactions.. that's what I feel is best. Ill post up my scores when i take my DAT. Super super stressed... i ust wanna enjoy my summer!
