ochem in the Big kaplan book

I was just wondering how similar the questions on the OAT ochem section are to the ochem section of the big kaplan book. it seems that the Big kaplan book does a bad job in explaning the ochem.

I used to kaplan big book when I studied and I found it to be pretty adequate. The kaplan book is just not very specific, it groups reactions into general equations, which made it easier to remember for test day. The questions on the OAT were very similar.

Yeah, I think the Kaplan book, although it is very vague at times, has a good representation of what the actual OAT ochem problems are like. I definitely recommend studying it more than your ochem notes from class because, unlike in most classes where you usually have to know the steps of the mechanism of a reaction, the OAT only asks for the result.
