Hey y'all,

So my ochem professor (who I'm pretty tight with) is letting me write my entire LOR?!
She said she would read over it an edit and everything, but is this frowned upon?

I feel like it could really work to my advantage, and therefore I should really take my time writing a kick ass letter.

My question = does this happen often? / does anyone else have experience with this?

Yes, it happens often. I was asked by one of my professors to do the same. It is odd to write about oneself in such a manner, but just some advice: Try not to be too humble. Don't be a narcissist, but don't be too modest either.

Happens all the time. Write it, let them edit/sign off on it, and forget about it. It's pretty widely accepted as fine, as they are free to edit or remove anything they disagree with.

Sounds great, thanks for the advice everyone.
