Acetone has one singlet.
Then, how about Acetaldehyde and Acetic acid?

Acetaldehyde : 2 signals (1 doublet, 1 quartet)
Acetic acid : 2 signals (2 singlet)
Am I right?

Acetaldehyde:

There is coupling. You are right, 1 doublet (methyl protons) and 1 quartet (hydrogen attached to the carbonyl) will be seen.

Acetic acid:

1 signal for the methyl protons (huge peak around 2 or 3), and one for the hydroxyl proton (far downfield and relatively small). A total of two singlets.
