Hey guys I am currently going through Chad's videos on OChem and I am kind of feeling overwhelmed with all the reactions/reagents. How did everyone else study for this section? I still haven't started the destroyer yet but I heard memorizing the road maps help.

Go through everything as many times as you can, and focus on your weakest area's. Some people go through all of chad's video's, then do his quizzes. Others (and myself) will go through one section at a time, then do the questions corresponding to that section immediately after. Don't feel overwhelmed or panic. It will interfere with your studying, trust me. Just try and stay calm, breath, and study. And yea, destroyer's roadmaps are extremely helpful, but they will only get you so far. On the actual DAT, you may only get a handful of actual reactions. Anyway, I am currently using chad's, achiever, datqvault, datbootcamp, and KWB for this section. I also have the ochem odyssey, which I used for my first DAT, but I haven't used it yet. Good luck to you.

I felt that way too when going through chad's vids, but the guy seriously prepares you for the test. Most questions were conceptual on the DAT. Just take good notes, and re-copy them if you need to. I watched some videos like 3-4 times. Supplement with bluebook and destroyer and you'll be $ I didn't get through either. I just took the DAT today, and got 20's in GChem and OChem (Which to most on SDN would be crap, but I'm happy with em)

I recommend going over chad's quizzes
whichever section you have trouble on, write them on a piece of paper
do NOT try to memorize them but rather understand the flow
