For schools that have Oct.15 as their earliest acceptance date, are all successful applicants that have interviewed before Oct.15 accpeted at exactly this date? I ask this because if that is the case, then I will schdule interviews for schools that I am applying to as back up after this date.

schools arent that quick. the nice ones are. even if youre accepted they might not tell you until later on.

my guess is they only accept a small number at this date, cuz schools won't want to fill up half the class that early in the interview season.

I received acceptances from numerous schools that day...so I am not sure about the comment of filling up the class later and how many they accept right of the bat.

It depends on the school. Some schools will interview and accept lots of people early on, and some schools will wait until the end of the application cycle to fill up the class. If you interview before October 15, it's conceivable that you could be accepted on or shortly after October 15, or waitlisted, or rejected, or put on hold for further consideration. Usually when you interview they will tell you about their procedures, and if they don't bring it up, you can ask.

This is a nice problem to have.
