Yes! Love this thread! 🙂 Happy Pi day everyone!!!!!!
Last year for Pi Day I made 10 pies. This year I made Pi times as many... so I made 31.4 (9") pies this year! There were 6 Mississippi Mud pies (like a brownie and amazingly delicious), 7 apple pies of different types (dutch versus regular, and apple versus apple cranberry), 2 chocolate chip peanut butter pies (like a Reeses), 2 Pumpkin pies, 1 Butterscotch Pecan pie, 1 Chocolate Chip Pecan pie, 1 Raisin pie, 2 Banana Cream pies, 1 Coconut Cream pie, 1 Coconut meets almond joy/mounds pie, 1 Coffee Cream pie, 1 Raspberry Cream pie, 3 S'more pies, 2 Breakfast pies (Hashbrowns for crusts, bacon, egg, and cheese; one had spam in it in addition to the bacon), and 2 small breakfast turnover pie things that equaled out to 0.4 of a 9" pie. *Phew*
If you want recipes to any of these, let me know. 🙂
Obviously, the tune can't be added in, but this is how I know the first (I think it's) 28 digits of Pi (though I know there is an "83" that goes after the digits listed). It's the Pi Song!! We learned this in 8th grade, and I still remember it!
First comes the number 3
Next comes the point you see
Then comes the 1 and then the 4
(Doo, Doo, Doo...)
1, 5, 9, 2, 6, 5,
3, 5 Oh Sakes Alive!
Surely there can't be anymore?
8, 9, 7, 9
Pi can go on all day
3, 2, 3, 8
Numerically speaking, it's okay!
Next comes the number 4
Then 6, 2, 6, and 4
Double 3 oh it can't be!
Oh I just don't understand
Why there's no law in the land
To make Pi equal just plain three!
