Official DAT Score Reports

Hi!

I took my DAT on 07/20 and two days after I submitted my online request to the ADA to send official scores to all of the schools that I was applying to (minus the five that I had initially indicated when I first registered for the DAT).

I know NYU says that you can fax your unofficial scores, so I have. For other schools though, all I've done is updated my AADSAS (the revised application was sent out this past Friday, 07/31) and I have the official score reports on the way, which will hopefully get there soon (though I know it's supposed to take a while).

Do you think it's still necessary to fax them the unofficial report at this point? It seems like a lot of schools won't go the next step unless they see an official report, so I'm not sure what the sense of faxing an unofficial report is at this point in time. But if you guys think I should, then I will!

I took it around that same time. DO you know how we can confirm that ADEA sent the scores? I know we can call each college but that might take even longer for them to file.

I'm in the same boat. I know ADA processes the DAT scores every Wednesday, so calling on a Thursday will let u know if they sent your scores out. Its been 3 weeks since my test and they get annoyed every time i call and ask.

Last time I actually got help from a guy that told me august 5 for my scores and august 12 for any score report requests after the ones I initially picked.

Wow that's new to me. I didnt know you could update your AADSAS in that section. So you just plug in the scores from unofficial report and just save it? And aadsas will send schools an updated copy or something?

Yeah I wasn't really sure what would happen if I filled out that part, so I just filled it out anyway. A few days later, I logged back onto AADSAS and there was a new mailing date listed. So I called them and the representative said that since there was an update to my application, they would send out an electronic version of my updated app to the schools.

FYI: if you fill out the DAT scores section, you just save it. That's all. Since an incomplete section is now complete, that will flag your application and a revised version will be electronically sent to all of your schools.

Yea that's exactly what I did. Just filled in my scores and switched future test date to the current test day: the month and year I took the DAT : July 2009. Then saved it.

Didnt know that would even do anything till you posted it. Good call.
