Hello,

One of my letter writers is a physician I shadowed and he uploaded it without official letterhead. Is that fine? Do some schools require it?

It depends. Some schools are sticklers about it. Is it possible to ask him to resubmit it with a letterhead from his office/hospital? It should not take him long, and being that he already wrote and submitted your letter... I'm sure he would be happy to do it if you explain that is needed.

On the otherhand, how do you know he did not submit on letterhead. Did you call Interfolio? I heard AMCAS will not tell you but Interfolio will.

+1. Interfolio can check for you if your LOR has official letterhead.

If the physician agreed to write you a LOR, he shouldn't mind to add the heading to re-submit. Since he's been through this, he should know the importance of it and wouldn't want to delay your application.
