***Official LSU Class of 2020 Interview/Acceptance Thread**

I haven't received it yet (hopefully I will). I see that last year they pulled the first batch of applications on June 30th and first interview invitations went out sometime after July 8th, so it seems early July is when we can expect the process to start.

Cool. Thanks for letting me know! My gpa just got verified today, so hopefully everything will be mailed out the end of this week.

My friend got her gpa verified last week so she ended up in the first batch. She told me that she got her supplemental last Friday. Hopefully, we get ours soon too!
 
Has any 2nd batch-ers received a supplemental yet? I still haven't gotten one

Current student here, I got my supplemental app mid-July. I was invited to interview in mid-August and I interviewed in September. I was in the 2nd in-state interview group, which was pretty early. I would assume the timeline for this cycle is similar. If you sent your app in really early, expect to hear back soon. If not, you may just have to wait a little while.

Thank you so much for that! I was seriously freaking out because I haven't heard anything the past few weeks. Dr. Cheramie's secretary told me that my app was complete this past Monday so I was like if don't get the supplemental now, I'm not going to get it. I know..I'm dramatic

I haven't heard anything but they should be giving out OOS interviews soon & IS interviews shortly after!

Are you in OOS or IS?

Cool. Me too!!! Do you know if they email you once they received the supplemental? I just got a notification from usps that they delivered it this morning!

I don't know if they do but I don't think so. I have a friend of mine that is also IS and we share each other's updates in regards of LSU communication. She sent her supplemental a few weeks ago and she didn't tell me if she got an email from them afterwards or not. 🙁 I guess we just need to keep waiting...

Hey guys,

I'm an IS applicant too. My application was sent out with the early batch, and I have already completed and submitted my supplementary.
I think LSU should send you a notification stating that they received and processed your supplementary as they did when they processed mines (which was only a couple of days after I sent my supplementary).

The only odd thing I noticed was that they give me a strict deadline for my supplementary. I was given a week's deadline to submit my supplementary. Does anyone know why they needed it so quick? Every other school (only a couple, lol) I applied to also give me supplementary applications, but said that I have up to two months to submit them.

Hopefully you guys receive the news you want to hear.

Yeah I thought that was odd too. I received mine on Tuesday morning and they wanted it mailed out by Friday (so I only had 3 days ) but I guess we shouldn't complain since we didn't have any essay questions to finish. Maybe they are deliberating soon on who they want to interview so that's why they wanted our apps back soon!

I'm amazed that they gave you a week to submit your supplementary... I only got a couple of days! I got the email last Tuesday and they said that they wanted it by Friday. That's just 3 days... Very odd... :-o
 
Got an email just now confirming that they've received my supplemental & stating that a supplemental doesn't guarantee an interview **sigh**

Received my supplemental application 7/14 and an additional email stating they received my supplemental and $175 application fee today (7/21).

No worries, you'll get one! I think the first few interviews are nearly all OOS anyway. I submitted my application like an hour after AADSAS opened on June 2, so I guess that makes me first batch. Didn't even start to apply to other schools until mid-July.

My bad, now that I have re-checked things. I also had three days to submit my supplemental application. Received noticed on a Tuesday, and they requested it be completed by Friday of that week.

Anywho, got an interview invitation not too long ago. 🙂 I like my chances so far.

The first batch started on 6/26 and then it's every Friday after that. If you check on the right column on your AADSAS portal and click on "Dental School Designations", you can find your mailing date. Hope that helps!

My mailing date is 7/10... What batch is that?
 
So if I'm second batch (mailed 7/2), does that suggest I should (hopefully) expect an email this week? That's just my guess considering CL13 received an email last Thursday and is 1st batch. The wait is excruciating!

Maybe..I have a friend who was first batch and got a supplemental. She hasn't heard anything back yet. Plus, the first two groups of interviews are mostly OOS from what I hear mixed in with people who were wait listed last cycle.

And I know what you mean..I check my email like every 5 minutes to see if there's something
 
I know for a fact there are IS scheduled to interview already in the first batch. I've been told that they are calling the people with a high DAT score and they go down from there. Not sure if they are doing it like that or if it's just a rumor. But I do know IS have already started to be called. Crossing fingers so we all get called soon 😉

IS being scheduled for interview already is the truth. I'm an IS and a first time applicant, and got an interview in August.

I'm an IS reapplicant and my interview is August 14th. I got my email July 15th. Hang in there guys!!!

Aw I appreciate it! However, my DAT score is not as good as yours...hopefully there will be some kind of miracle for me
