How is the new FRED software going to affect the test taking experience?

As previously published, the NBME has developed new software for USMLE. The NBME software, known as FRED, will replace Prometric's software for delivery of the computer-based components of the USMLE (Steps 1, 2 CK and Step 3).

I don't think it will change much at all, to tell the truth. It's very similar to what they're using now, from what I've seen.

After looking at it more closely, this is my take.

considering that the practice program crashes 100% of the time on my machine, i'd say it would affect me very much if this happens at my testing center.
