Post ones you know. This excludes mandatory fees like books, rooming, student fees, etc. (i.e. cost of living in NYC is much higher than in Missouri). Maybe if the list gets long we can go from highest to lowest:

Texas Tech - $9500

LSU-Shreveport - $9776
Texas Tech - $9500

wow texas tech is so cheap.

I like TexPre-med's avatar.

seriously...although i don't think its the most expensive one out there. i was surprised by the US news report's "priciest and cheapest private schools" list...GT is farther down than I expected it to be, considering its reputation for being so expensive. I was wondering why everyone refers to it as being so pricey? Is it because of the cost of room/board or the lack of scholarship money or what?

US news also has a list of which schools graduate students with the most debt, if anyone is interested.

UNC-Chapel Hill

It was $8,877 this year but will be increasing next year to:

In-state: $10,739.52

Out-of-State: $34,405.52

LSU-Shreveport - $9776
Texas Tech - $9500
UNC-Chapel Hill In-state: $10,739.52 Out-of-State: $34,405.52

Good idea for a thread. It might be more interesting to do 'average indebtedness' or 'total cost including mandatory fees and tuition but excluding housing' or something like that (some schools [UCLA] have mandatory fees that can be more than the tuition)...

The link given above on US news for school costs is wrong, or just plain old. it lists U of A as only being about $12,000 a year and overshoots the cost of a mayo education, just a heads up.

And wow, i thought i was getting a good deal at $16,000, darn you texas people and your sub 10 grand educations! *grin* lucky ducks

I hate all you guys that go to schools which have tuition under $10k. 😛
