I just thought that it was about time to have a thread for UConn.

Anyone else thinking about UConn, I know I'm definitely trying to decide between it and Stony Brook.

Either way... go Huskies...

Hey,
Yea Im trying to decide between Stony Brook, Uconn, and COlumbia. I was originally sure I wanted UConn but not so sure now..I really liked the location and the school seemed really nice..almost hotel like, but I've heard that people are unhappy there..I don't really know how much to read into that..tough decision..

I'm in the same boat. Uconn really impressed me, but then, so did stony brook. I'm from new york so i am leaning towards stony brook. I was just really thrilled to be accepted to uconn being that i am out of state.

I have an interview with colombia coming up and i'm seriously thinking about canceling it. Do you think that is a good idea or should i just check it out?

I feel the same way about UConn. Was a great school. I haven't paid the deposit on SBU yet so i'm still tempted by UConn.

HeatingHomer - When I visited Columbia, I wasn't all that impressed by their clinics..mediocre compared to Uconn and Stony Brook. The interview itself and people were friendly and its good if you want to specialize but so are Uconn and Stony Brook - plus they are better clinical schools too. I also spoke w/ some students there who were'nt too happy..said they went to Columbia just cuz its ivy league lol..so If i were you I wouldn't.But the tough choice is really between Stony and Uconn!

thanks for the input.

I finally just got off the waitlist. Feeling bad on the first interview, otherwise, I may had been accepted a long time ago. Eitherway, I'm very excited for August and look forward to seeing all the attending students. :meanie:

Congrats, Sawmoo!
I'm sorry you won't be attending UPenn, but UConn is an awesome school too. Plus, tuition is so cheap for you as an in state resident. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!:bow::zip:

Sawmoo,

Nice job with UConn! Quick question for you, what are your impression of the school?
Do you know anyone that attends? I am a CT resident and US Army Vet. As such, and if I get in, my tuition would be waived. However, I have heard also heard that it is a rather unpleasent school, but have not actually spoken to anyone from there.

Thanks, and once again, congrat's.
