Official UTHSCSA 2011 Thread – Now what?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Thanks for the info! I had my series done 8 years ago, but I couldn't find the names of the vaccines used, so I went and got a titer. If it comes back fine, then I'm good to go. But the nurse who did it said there have been a few instances where someone has had the series but all the antibodies don't show up. Hopefully it won't come to that though.

Does anybody know who we send the meningitis/carbon copy form to? I assume it is sent to the Student Health Center along with our immunization form, but the form does not specify.

I don't know either, but I'm just going to mail them in together once I get the results back from my chicken pox titer and my form is done.

Does anyone know how long these titers take? I submitted blood at a lab for the chicken pox titer on Monday but I forgot to ask how long it would take them. For all I know, they could have sent the results to my doctor's office already.

My titer sample was taken on Monday and I had the results in hand on Wednesday.

The meningitis/carbon copy form needs to be sent to the REGISTRAR'S OFFICE. This is according to the Student Health Center when I called them.

My titers were sent off yesterday and the clinic said they would be ready on Friday, which is when I have to go back to get my TB test read.

Hey Guys,

Somehow I missed this thread until now. Quick question...does anybody know what the dress code is for the Welcome to the Profession ceremony tomorrow? I don't know whether to wear business casual or a suit. What are all of you wearing?

I'm looking forward to meeting all of you tomorrow.

One of the letters we received said "sports coat for men," but I was hoping that a suit is okay. I'm not sure which I will be wearing.
