I touchdown at O'Hare at 7:10 AM. Can I make it to rosalind franklin at 9 AM? Consider chicago traffic at that time...please

Just pm'd you. For you other, you should be able to make it pending no disasterous factors.

Thanks for the responses. It looks like i am gonna take the risk and go early in the morning...i will save money on living there and have time to teach the class on thursday night. yes!

I live here and its gonna take you forever to get out of the airport plus all the expressways around the airport are under construction. Plus in good traffic it takes a good 50 mins to make it from around ohare to the rosiland area. Not to mention getting out of the airport, getting a cab which actually shouldnt be too bad as long as you dont have to wait for any bags and just have a carry on, and the morning rush with the construction is going to add at least an hour on top of that initial 50 mins minimum.. so good luck....

thank you. I have 1 hour and 50 mins after I land...so it should work out perfectly! I will pay the cab double if they get me on time...so that should convince the cab guy to hurry. haha.

Do you have to go through customs or anything coming from Canada? That could slow ya down a little.

Seriously?

If it makes you feel any better, I'm white and had a string of like 7 consecutive airport bag inspections and hand-held metal detector once-overs on seperate trips. It's got to be some sort of record. Kind of makes you actually want to bomb the place...

Also, I fly in and out of O'Hare quite often and major delays are more the rule than the exception. This is usually due to "weather," which is apparently an issue if it includes precipitation, sunshine, a cloud, or a slight breeze. So, don't bet on being on time.

1. I wouldn't joke about that - big brother has eyes everywhere... (jk)

2. Do you buy your tickets with cash or within a few days of your flight? I know stuff like that sets the computers off and prompts further security checks.

Have you already scheduled your interview (and the school has confirmed it)? I tried calling last night, but they were out already, so I emailed. I've been trying to call today, but noone will answer. I found a good deal on airline tickets, so I want to confirm that date ASAP!!! Anyone else?

where are you guys planning on staying overnight? i don't think they have a student host program. Also, is there any way to get to campus w/o paying the $45 cab fare that they listed?
