Wow, was everybody who was at The Blackwell this weekend as impressed as I was with The Ohio State University?

I thought that interview was the best of all of them that I have been to. I already received a thank you card this morning via email from them for attending! All the gifts they gave us were fun too.
The only bad thing was the tour was too extensive for my high heels. They sure aren't hiding anything though.

Breakfast and Lunch were great. My new number one is Ohio State.

There were about 48 people there and most were from Utah, tons of hot guys everywhere. 😍


What were your thoughts going in and then afterward?

Going in I thought it was going to be like any other interview, man was I wrong. My interviewer found me at breakfast and talked with me about everything. By the time I actually interviewed, it was like we were pals.

As far as the day as a whole, I was extremely impressed. I was sold on the school. Everybody there loves the buckeyes! Football is almost as important as dentistry.

There were so many mormons there it was kind of a joke. BYU, UVSC, Ricks, UofU, Utah State, Southern Utah, Weber State, kids from all the Utah schools.
There were only a few who weren't from Utah. I felt bad for them. Most of the interviewers were LDS also.

I can't wait to be a buckeye and use my new leather bound portfolio!

Hotty- I think you kept seeing me thats why you thought there were a tons of hot guys there!!

I also enjoyed my experience, the dental students were very honest. i had great interview and loved the time spent with my interviewers. (hopefully you get a good one) I heard some people were getting asked some crazy questions!

Oh well, hopefully I will hear from them on the 4th!!!!!!!

I was very impressed as well. Of course, I knew OSU was great because I work for an OSU graduate. What impressed me most was the people. Everyone was so encouraging and friendly. They seem to be really interested in producing quality dentists, which I think is most important. The bells and whistles and high-tech stuff are nice, but if you don't have to basics down, what's the point? I especially thought the students were great! I received so much encouragement and assistance. One student went out of her way to connect me with her friend to give me more information on housing. That's what I look for.....people going above and beyond what's expected. Kudos to OSU! It's going to be a long two months. Good luck to you all and I hope to see you next fall! 🙂

Thanks for all the good feedback. I will see for myself on the 14th. Gonna do some reasearch on football. Although I am in Texas, I am a Utah native so maybe that will help. 😉 Good luck to everyone. 👍 👍 Any Advice is welcome....

Man, I thought the Ohio State interview was going to be just so-so. I was ABSOLUTELY WRONG!!! Everyone was so nice and courteous, and I was impressed with the professional atmosphere. They really seemed to be interested in the applicants. The interviewers were extremely kind and friendly and wanted to get to know me personally and not just things about me.

Anywayz, awesome spankin' victory over Hawks. Go Bucks!

I thought OSU was awesome this past weekend. People made it sound bland, but it really wasn't, I thought they were giving us top notch treatment with breakfast, lunch, presentations, meeting with all sorts of people from the dental school and putting us in groups like canine, molar..etc...by the way I was in the canine group 😎 . I met a lot of people from Utah, and lots of people that were married...I don't know if anyone else notice that. My interviewer was from the East Lansing area and guessed exactly how I got down to OSU. So it was easy to talk to him, but i was a little nervous because it was my first interview 😱 . I agree with the high heels thing, my feet were killing me at the end of the tour, and OSU dental school isn't really that ancient, people in my group were saying Maryland or something like that was pretty bad So hopefully I'll have good news from them on Dec. 4th 😉
