does anyone know how ohsu screens? they make it seem like they have eligibility requirements (cutoffs or something) but do they screen based on more than that? i just got the secondary, and i want to know how meaningful it is that i got it, considering im out of state. also, they emphasize that they prefer oregon, wiche states, urm's, md/phd, mph, people with interest in working with underserved/rural/primary care or exceptional people..does that mean that they accept few out of state normal premed types..i got a 32/3.5, lots of research, one paper being prepared for publication, 1 2-yr volunteer experience working with adolescent psychiatric patients, and ive expressed interest in working with underserved populations..i really do have the interest; i just havent been off to some 3d world country proving it. any thoughts on my chances, or the meaningfulness of my receiving a secondary? or anyone else receive the secondary and want to divulge their qualifications?
thanks..
